Task 3: Being inclusive, engaging and adaptive
In this task we’ll look at prompts for ensuring that your product is inclusive, engaging/involving and adaptive. It assumes you have a live project to work with.
Step-by-step
- As a group, review your project together and ask yourself how it could be iterated in the following areas:
- How can it be more inclusive?
- How can it be more involving?
- How can it be more adaptive?
For example
- How can it be more inclusive?
- Clearer language
- Less cognitive load on the screen
- How can it be more involving?
- Could give a follow-up around how helpful the question was
- Could ask for questions or concerns multiple times before meeting
- How can it be more adaptive?
- Helps you construct better questions with hints and tips
- Ability to take notes using voice recognition
- As a group, reflect on the following questions:
- What did you learn from this activity?
- Was anything surprising?
- Was anything particularly challenging?
- Does this change the way you would design your product from the start if doing it again?
